Lindsay is a seasoned event professional and a true expert with over 17 years of experience transforming ideas into impactful, flawlessly executed programs. She has a deep and comprehensive understanding of the events industry, gained from her diverse career spanning prestigious tech accelerators, high-growth startups, and world-class hospitality groups.
Accelerating the World's Best Founders
Most recently, Lindsay was Senior Director of Events at Y Combinator (YC), the world's most prestigious startup accelerator. During her five-year tenure, she was instrumental in planning and executing incredible, high-stakes programs for the world's best founders and its extensive alumni network.
Key Programs: Working directly with leaders like Michael Seibel and Garry Tan, she created and executed signature events, including batch and alumni retreats and the alumni reunion weekend.
Infrastructure & Innovation: She built out YC's successful investor receptions and community events, and famously revamped Demo Days at the iconic SF Masonic, significantly elevating the attendee experience.
Building from the Ground Up in Tech
Before YC, Lindsay was the first marketing events hire at Mixpanel. Over five years, she built and led the company's inaugural marketing and events experience team.
Pioneering Programs: She launched Mixpanel's very popular in-person monthly event series, established its first comprehensive field marketing program, managed company retreats, and created the company's first webinar program.
Mastering Hospitality
Lindsay gained her deep foundational knowledge of the events industry from the inside, serving as a Senior Event Manager at Starwood and Marriott Hotels before moving into the tech sector. This hospitality background instilled a mastery of logistics, vendor management, and premium guest service that underpins all her work.
